Konami is here with more deluxe pack action for us Saturn lovers. We've got the Twin Bee, Parodius and Salamander deluxe packs so now it's time to get the Gradius one. This is probably the weakest deluxe pack in my opinion. The pack contains arcade ports of Gradius 1 and Gradius 2. While these games are good in their own right they don't offer anything special. They look and sound dated compared to the far superior Salamander Deluxe pack. Plus the slow down is unbelievably bad. It wouldn't have been hard for Konami to add an option which let you choose whether you'd like to have the arcade slow down on or off. As it is, this slow down makes the game look and feel pretty bad. Still, I'm sure fans of Gradius will love this deluxe pack.

As with all of Konami's Saturn games, Gradius Deluxe Pack comes with a beautiful colour printed disc.

Another nice extra with the game was a template to make your very own paper craft Vic Viper ship from Gradius. Here are the scans in their original size for anyone who fancies making their very own Vic Viper.
