Normally games should get better with each version but in Gotha's case this is not so. The original game used 3D polygon models and looked pretty good apart from being slightly jerky. However this second game has done away with the nice polygon models and traded them for poor blocky looking pre-rendered sprites. The over all look is very poor indeed. Now with using these sprites instead of polygons you'd expect the scrolling to be smother than the original. Sadly this is not the case. The game still moves just as jerky. It's as if they have used the same engine but without the polygons. I have to ask is this the fault of the publisher, Koei, with their meddling or that of Micronet?
