After making the first Magical Drop then letting Sega improve the second one with new play modes and characters, Data East get back the license along with all of Sega's improvements and release Magical Drop 3. This is by far the best Magical Drop game out of them all. Still the game play remains pretty much the same apart from a few specials. There is one nice addition that puts it slightly higher than the second game and that's the addition of the world map section. Sort of like Puyo Puyo's tower if you like. Beat one person then move further in to the map until you come across another challenger.
