Isn't it strange that the only Langrisser game to get an English translation was way back in the days of the Mega Drive. Translated and published by Treco under the name of Warsong, The first Langrisser became quite a cult classic in the west so it's surprising that none of the following games got a translation.

The Sega Saturn was home to 3 more Langrisser strategy RPG titles which were all developed by NCS Masiya with a little help from Santa Clause for the later titles. Personally I'm not a fan of strategy RPGs so I haven't played this one much. It does look very nice from what I've seen with some great visuals. I'm sure any fan of strategy RPGs will love any of the Langrisser games.

This copy of Langrisser III is the limited edition that comes with a free fan art book and holographic cover. The 3D effect on the holographic cover is very nice indeed. Unfortunately when scanning this cover it looks awful. A digital photo also doesn't do it any justice as you can see below.

The white line across the picture is just a reflection from the flash. You can sort of see the 3D effect if you use your imagination. Also in the limited edition you get this lovely fan book which is full of wonderful art and signed messages from the voice cast of the game. The book's front Langrisser logo is actually silver not black. Scanning silver doesn't really work.
