What could be better than playing 30 classic Konami MSX games? Well quite a lot of things really. I was sort of looking forward to playing this one until I did actually play it. It’s like playing one of those Famicom pirate 99 in 1 cartridge games. Many games seem so similar. I mean they have Gradius, Gradius 2 and Gofer which are all basically the same apart from the graphic change. Then there are all the Konami sport games which are dull. What you’re left with are about 10 interesting titles out of 30. Most of the games are pretty basic and quite unplayable by today’s standards. Ye-ha Kung Fu II is actually very annoying to play these days thanks to it’s no diagonal directions. Maybe fans of the MSX will enjoy this compilation but I found it quite dull. If Konami released a Famicom collection then that would be worth shouting about but as it is, the MSX was never really that much of a great games machine in my eyes.
