As far as I remember this was the first 2D fighting game for the Saturn. Converted from the ST-V arcade board (basically a Saturn) for the home. Sega aren't exactly known for making great 2D Fighting games so as you can expect Golden Axe the Duel isn't that good. It's not bad but the controls are fiddly at times and the characters aren't really that interesting. this game sort of looks like an early Neo Geo effort with better animation and transparencies.
