Type - 2D Beat'em Up

Oh dear (-_-)  What do we have here?  Probably something that the Neo Geo Fan boys would rather forget I can imagine.  Ragnagard or Shinhouken as the Japanese title says, is a poor beat'em up with a difference.  This time the characters are pre-rendered CG models which look really messy thanks to the lack of colours that the Neo Geo can display.  This Saturn conversions is just the same as the Neo Geo version bar a better soundtrack.  The whole game just feels stiff and looks messy.  It's by no means the worst fighter on the Saturn but it's certainly up there with them.  There are eleven characters to choose from in total.  None of which are very exciting.

My advice is to only buy this game if you're a collector or love to buy crappy games to see how crappy they are.  Anyone else should just buy one of SNK's other fighters apart from Fatal Fury 3.  That's pretty ropey on the Saturn too.
