Just why the Japanese have decided to rename Tomb Raider to Tomb Raiders is a mystery. Maybe there's a meaning behind it like the way the changed Lord Of The Rings to Lord Of The Ring. Anyway, I'm sure you all know Tomb Raider thanks to the thousands of "Honest, this is the last one" sequels and the two average at best movies. But just incase you don't know Tomb Raider I'll quickly fill you in.

The game revolves around our British heroin Lara Croft who is what's best described as a female Indiana Jones. In this game she heads of to Tibet (I think) in search of some treasure. Whilst searching the ruins Lara must make good use of her acrobatic skills to maneuver around the tricky terrains. At the time of release Tomb Raider was new and fresh. I really enjoyed playing it back in 1996. I even remember thinking that the Saturn version looked very nice. Well now it's 2004 and I can say that Tomb Raider hasn't aged that well. The controls are very clumsy and at times unresponsive. Graphically the game looks very grainy but sort of suits the style of game in places. The frame rate is ok in most parts but does really suffer in some of the more open spaced areas.

Tomb Raider isn't a terrible game, just that now there are so many better games.
