I used to play
this one for hours on end back when it was new. Fighting Vipers was also
the first Saturn 3D Fighting game to feature really time light sourcing
and shading and possibly the first 3D fighter on any
system to feature 3D breakable arenas.
There are 9 standard characters in Fighting Vipers plus hidden
characters such as the bear and panda plus Pepsi Man.
Unfortunately Pepsi Man isn't
featured in the Western releases since he was
only used in Japan to advertise Pepsi. It's a shame really since Pepsi
Man is one of the best characters in the game. He's
probably best described as Fighting Vipers version of Dural
Whist Fighting Vipers isn't as good as Virtua Fighter 2 it's still worth
picking up. Nothing can beat smashing the opponents battle amour off
(especially if they are Honey) and throwing them though the walls. If
you've already played Fighting Vipers 2 then you may think that it's not
with getting Fighting Vipers one but let me tell you that it's actually
more fun than the sequel. A real gem of a game plus
it's also very cheap.
