Gakkou No Kaidan or "The School Ghost Story" in English is based upon the Toho TV program of the same name. The game is a FMV adventure similar to the Mega CD game, Night Trap. The game starts with a young girl entering an abandoned school. While she is looking around she hears a noise. Being a bit an the stupid side she goes to investigate the sound only to be taken by a ghost or something. Her brother and friend who are playing outside wonder where she has gone.  Typically they decide to go into the school to look for her. There are also two other children who just so happened to decide to enter this abandoned school at the same time. So what we have now is a load of kids lost in a haunted abandoned school and it's up to you to save them.

The FMV used in the game is of average quality to be honest yet it seems to add to the game's spooky atmosphere. If you liked Night Trap then you'll love this but make sure you can understand Japanese.
