Zero Divide started life on the PlayStation and to be honest is was a load of crap. Than Zero Divide 2 came along. which was actually much better than the first game but still not that good. Now we have Zero Divide The Final Conflict for the Saturn, which is quite odd since it's the final game in the series but the first released for the Saturn. Anyway, you'll be glad to know that Zero Divide The Final Conflict is the best of the series. The programmers have actually made good use of the Saturn's two processors which is why it says FEATURING "SH-2" just above the Zero Divide logo. This results in a high resolution game with some very high in detail solid looking robotic characters. The character Zero for example has a metallic shine to his body which changes its look every time he moves. The arenas even feature 3D backgrounds ! And unlike Sega's own efforts these 3D arenas don't shudder or disappear then reappear as in the likes of Fighters Mega Mix, Last Bronx or Fighting Vipers. Zero Divide looks much more sold than all of them. Game play wise Zero Divide is best described as a Virtua Fighter type of fighter which is no bad thing. The game isn't that hard to complete but it's style and various modes will keep you coming back. Overall Zero Divide The Final Conflict is quite a solid game. |
