This is basically Need For Speed with all the cars changed to Nissan cars. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that you can't cause massive pile ups or flip the car like you can in Need For Speed. This makes Nissan Over Drivin' GTR quite dull. One of the most fun aspects of Need For Speed on the Saturn was to see your car go hurling through the sky then smash in to the oncoming vehicles. Sadly all that's gone in the Japanese game thanks to Nissan.

If I was you, I'd pass on this Japanese version and get the western Need For Speed game. To the Japanese Nissan version's defense I will say that it does have some pretty nice FMV. It's a shame the same can't be said about the car models used within the game. Even they look worse than the Ferraris and Lamborghinis used in the western release.

Saturn game collectors will know that Japanese Saturn games come in standard CD cases or double cases however Nissan Over Drivin' comes in a case similar to early Japanese PlayStation releases. Yep, those shitty ones that always seem to have broken hinges. The reason for this is that the game comes with a pretty nice metal key ring as shown below. Unfortunately, the key ring is so nice that most people kept it when they sold the game on. So finding one isn't that easy. I've seen 100's of used Nissan Over Drivin games but only a handful of the key rings.
