I would love to be able to tell you all a great deal about this game but the fact is, it's just another very empty shougi simulation.  Unlike the Mahjong games, the shougi games never feature scantily clad anime girls, nice intros or quirky voices.  They are all pretty much the same as far as looks go.  Taikyoku Shougi Kiwame 2 is slightly more advanced than some other shougi games though because it actually has a BGM.
