"Imagineer Polygon Sports Game Series 002" as it says on the game's cover. I wonder what 001 in the series was? Maybe Virtual Volleyball ? Well, Virtual Open Tennis is quite an interesting title in the way that it has you playing in what seems to be space !! I have no idea why since there is no sign of aliens, monsters or anything like that in the instruction book but one stage defiantly looks like it's set in space. The game it's self looks ok for a 1st generation Saturn title but plays like a pile of cack. The players seem to do ridiculous dashes for the ball all the time. Also the connection between the racquet and the ball isn't that good. At times it feels like you're hitting air and not the ball. If you're looking for a tennis game for your Saturn I'd look else where. After all, Imagineer are well known for releasing crap. |
