As we all know, Imagineer only make and release pure crap so it will come as no surprise to hear that Virtual Volleyball is also pure crap. However, considering it's the only Volleyball game for the Saturn there isn't much choice. The game's front end is very nice running in the Saturn's high resolution mode of 704x480 progressive. The actual game on the other hand runs in the bog standard Saturn resolution. There are a few game modes to play from such as World Tour, Free Play and Tournament. They're all pretty much the same though to be honest. The biggest problem with this game is the lack of feel when you hit the ball. Most of the time the ball feels as if it's a floating bubble and the CPU AI is pretty useless losing even more sense of realism. Still, like I said before, this is the only Volleyball game for the Saturn and while it's not great it's still playable enough to warrant a purchase if you must have a Volleyball game.
