This is the horse breading / racing simulation that was popular enough to warrant it's self it's very own limited edition Saturn which also just happens to be the most expensive Saturn made by Sega. Why? I have no idea. Maybe real horse breading / betting maniacs can shed some light on to this. To me however, Derby Stallion is just another horse breading / racing game.
