Being published under the name of Emotion Digital Software, Bandai thought they could trick us all. As with many games by Bandai, this is substandard crap but strangely compelling and actually quite sort after. That could be down to it being quite rare though.

Hissatsu is a platform action game featuring 3 characters set in ancient Japan. Two of the characters are your typical samurai looking types while the other guy looks more like a cowboy with a pistol. Select two of these misfits to peril the dangers of the level.

This game's main problem is that everything looks so stiff. The character animation is really bad resulting with them walking as if they have crapped in their pants or something. The characters are also quite small and at times feel a little sluggish in the control department. This a quite a shame because the actual game presentation is very nice with some beautiful drawn art work to accompany the stories between levels.

To be honest, Hissatsu isn’t all that bad but it could have been so much better.  Try to imagine Shinobi on the Saturn but with far less animation and less action.  That's Hissatsu!.
