Coming to us from Sega US,  Bug Too!, just like the original game it's a bit crap. Well, it's not that bad to be honest if American made platformers are your cup of tea. Sega US have certainly improved upon the game engine making it smoother, new graphical effects and more flexible. The main problem is that the idea wasn't too good in the first place. Due to the way the game levels are set out you'll find yourself getting stuck on scenery quite a few times which can be annoying. There's also a few cases of not being able to see the part of the level you want to jump to. Another thing that really annoys me is the insistency of American software houses to make the main character spurt out a load of unfunny pointless comments all the time. What's the appeal in that? The list is endless! You've got GEX, Bubsy Bobcat, Bug, Awesome Possum and so on.

Now I know I'm being a moaning sod here but I just can't enjoy BUG Too even if it is a hell of a lot better than the original. The levels are just too dull to keep my attention longer than 30 minutes plus it's incredibly easy. The only time you do die is due to the poor level design.

I'm sorry but I just don't rate Bug Too! You may like it though if all those other American platformers amuse you. By the way, this Japanese version is actually quite a hard version to find so if you do spot it make sure you pick it up even if only for collection sakes.
