Here's one that may actually quite surprise you. At first glance it looks like any other cheap anime based fighter with no playability what so ever from the pictures on the case but just wait until you put it on. Sokko Seitokai Sonic Council is actually very good. There's quite a few modes of play including a story mode which is set up like a TV news show plus they have a ranking chart that shows who's beaten who the most times. The in-game the looks department is also not bad. Some characters look a little weak on the animation side but over all it's nice. Once lovely aspect about the graphics is the heat wave effect ! What this does is ripple the stage background (like a heat wave) every time you pull off a big hit or combination.

So it looks good and has quite a few modes of play but how good is it to play? Well, actually very good !! It's no King Of Fighters or Street Fighter beater but it does hold it's own in a very competitive market. All combos are in there with some pretty impressive moves to accompany them. Reaction time is also spot on as is the collision detection. The game is also quite a challenge in parts as well, making it quite a nice single player game.

Over all Sokko Seitokai Sonic Council is a pretty impressive title that is well worth hunting down if you're in to 2D fighters.
