Believe it or not but High School Baseball in Japan is far more popular than regular baseball. To me however they are both as dull as each other just like American Football. Far too much waiting about with repetitive band music for my liking. Anyway, I'm not here to tell you what I think about different sports.

You may or may not know that Magical are far more popular for their range of budget PlayStation and PS2 games so it came as a surprise to see that they had actually made a Saturn game.

For a small company the game actually looks very good with solid enough character models and decent baseball grounds including school grounds within which you train. Yes, that's right, you actually have to train to get anywhere in the league. The game features ALL of the Japanese high school baseball teams that feature in the event which is 4000 in total !! Yes, that's four thousand, not a typo. Add the mini RPG / manager elements and pretty decent baseball game engine makes this actually quite a decent game. The problem is trying to find a copy. This is the only one I've ever seen so it's not exactly common like Konami's Powerful Pro series or Sega's Greatest Nine series.
