Surprisingly Fantastep is actually very pretty looking considering it's from Jaleco. The game is a sort of RPG but more adventure to be honest. The actual playing areas are all in 3D connected by a 2D map. You can move freely around areas but have to use a GUI for commands in a similar fashion to Wonder Project J on the Super Famicom. Not a bad game to be honest and even quite playable without knowing any Japanese. Well worth checking out ! I played it for a good 2 hours straight on my first go without noticing how long I'd been playing, so Jaleco must have got something right.
