Gone are the hand drawn sprite and in come the dodgy looking digitized ones for this sequel. Actually the digitized characters don't look that bad to be honest for a game of this age. They do move around like cardboard cut outs though but still, it all adds to the charm. Dark Seed II is much bigger than the original in looks and sound and of course actual game play. Controls are a lot more friendlier now as well. Unfortunately for the none Japanese speaker, this Saturn sequel is probably not worth buying due to it being dubbed in to Japanese along with all the text being changed as well. It looks like the original must have sold quite well for them to go to the effort of dubbing it! It's a shame really because I was hoping they would have left the speech in English like the original.

Pretty good story and great atmosphere make this one to look out for but only if you don't mind it all being in Japanese.
