After playing Myst I wasn't really looking forward to this sequel but I'm happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Unlike Myst, Riven uses True Motion video giving the game a much cleaner look than what Myst had. The CG renders are also of a much higher quality. This is probably expected though since the game is a lot newer. The whole game just oozes atmosphere but it must be said that Riven is not a style of game suited to everyone. You see, it's mostly just going from one CD screen to another with the odd bits of video thrown in. Puzzles can also be a bit on the tedious side which may put people off. Still, if you're looking for something to just sit down with and relax then this is the game for you. Along with the game comes this little envelope which contains five or so picture cards.
