Naomi is one of the most successful arcade platforms of all time right up there with the Neo Geo.  Like SNK's Neo Geo, Sega also licensed out their hardware to 3rd party developers which gave them a powerful (at the time) easy to program platform to produce arcade games at a cost efficient level.  Many 3rd party developers such as Tecmo, Sammy, Treasure, Jaleco, G.Rev and Milestone are just a few of the many talented developers that produced games for the Naomi platform.  However, none were as active as Capcom who produced most of their biggest arcade hits of the late 90's on the Naomi.  Games such as Marvel Vs Street Fighter 2, Power Stone series and Bio Hazard Code Veronica Gun Survival.

As you may know, Sega's last console, the Dreamcast was based upon the Naomi hardware which although only having half the memory of the Naomi still resulted in more arcade perfect ports coming to the home than any other system before it.
