Better known as
Nadia, secret of blue water in English, this RPG from Namco is quite a
surprise for Mega Drive owners. After all, Nadia was quite a
popular anime at the time and most big named licenses went the way of
Nintendo.
The game starts
off with a slightly off key rendition of the anime's main theme tune
along with a Mega Drive powered version of the opening credits
animation. Sadly, this is where things go downhill. Nadia is
yet another game that relies upon it's license to sell. It's not
until you sit down and play this game do you realize that it's quite
bland in all areas from looks to actual story. A great shame
really. If Namco had made more effort with the game graphics and
spiced up the story a little, this could have been a quality RPG.
