Title -  Tatsujin   (タツジン)

Developer - Sega   Catalogue No. - G-4020

Type - Vertical Shooter

Better known as Truxton in the west, this Toaplan game hits the Mega Drive in style thanks to Sega's very good port.  While it's not really up there with the newer shooters for the Mega Drive it's still a classic blast that's actually quite a challenge.  Not only is Tatsujin a challenge but it also looks pretty, especially for such an early Mega Drive title.  It's just a shame it doesn't sound so good.  The tiny tunes really do pail compared to the likes of Technosoft's shooters or Telenet's conversion of Data East's Kuuga -Operation Code- "Vapor Trail".  Still, at least the tunes them selves aren't too bad so you ears will be spared.

If you can find Tatsujin cheap then a recommend picking it up for some real classic arcade style shooting action.
