Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play Mario 1 as Sonic?  Well if you have then your dreams have been answered with this Chinese Mario hack for the Mega Drive.

Graphically it looks very nice and so it should since all of the graphics are lifted directly from the Super Famicom's Mario Collection version of Mario.  Sound is also pretty good with great reproductions of the original score as well as a few other "original" tracks thrown in.  But how does it play?  Well, the controls can be a bit on the twitchy side if you are using the run button but apart from that it seems to control pretty well.  Being a Chinese made item though corners have been cut and in this case it's the graphics.  In some bonus rooms you can still see Mario's ugly mug and Bowser is still present.  You would have thought the programmers of this would have changed the sprite for Dr. Eggman's / Robotniks sprite.

Still, over all this is a pretty good unlicensed game that's defiantly worth checking out.  Take a look of it in action in the video below.
