Originally by T&E Soft in 1988 for Japanese PCs this Mega Drive version by Sigma comes to us on a 5MB cartridge with battery back up.  Now that may not seem such a big deal but back 1990 when this was released when most games were 2 to 4 MB, a 5 MB game with battery back up sounded very attractive.

Psy-o-Blade is probably best described as a sci-fi action adventure but I guess you'd probably already figured that out by the cover art.  Being a cartridge based game we aren't going to get any full screen fluid animation due to size limitations however what we do get are decent sized windows surrounded by boarder graphics which give the impression of full screen animation windows.  It must be said that the animation is a little lacking however what there is isn't all bad.  In fact some of it is pretty nice for such an early title.

Unfortunately Psy-o-Blade is completely unplayable if you can't read Japanese so I guess these lovely scans will have to suffice.
