Originally by Atlus, this Mega Drive port comes to us from Telenet's Renovation games department.  Lovely cut scenes throughout and quite a lengthy intro but nothing that stands out in the animation department.  At the end of the day though it's a 16bit Mahjong simulation so you aren't going to get anything that impressive in terms of visuals when you win.

If you're in to mahjong and after something a bit nostalgic then sure, Jantei Monogatari is perfect for you.
