At one point in time I thought Super Hang On for the Mega Drive was one hell of a fantastic racer.  Oh how times change!  After playing the Sharp X68000 version quite a bit over the years it was quite shocking to see how bad the Mega Drive version actually is.  First off there is no real sense of speed due to the poor frame rate that the game runs in.  The 3D perspective is also pretty bad with bikes looking bigger in the distance then shrinking as they get closer before finally becoming normal sized again.

It's not all doom and gloom though for the Mega Drive version.  It does have an adventure RPG type mode that allows you to buy upgrades for you bike and so on.  The music is also decent enough so it's not a complete waste of space.  It's just a shame that it hasn't aged well at all.
