Simply known as Vapor Trail in English, this Data East classic was ported to the Mega Drive by Telenet under their Riot label surprisingly.  Out of all the Mega Drive developers out there Telenet would be at the bottom of my list of coders who'd port an arcade shooter.  Never the less they did and what a good job they made of it !!

Presentation is amazingly good !  Telenet have managed to keep in the arcade introduction and presentation as well as the speech.  Needless to say it's in the good old Mega Drive "I've swallowed a razor blade" style speech but at least it's all there.  Graphically Kuuga is nothing to get excited about to be honest.  They do serve the purpose though with quite a few pretty large looking bosses.  The audio is top notch however and just like the arcade it's the same tune playing through every stage.  Still, at least Telenet have done a very good job of recreating it for the Mega Drive.

3 craft to control with each having their own abilities, good game play and cool audio are just a few of the things that will have you coming back to this title time after time.
