Believe it or not I had not actually ever seen the Mega Drive version of ESWAT running until this year (2006) which is a crying shame because this is a true classic that I'd been missing out on for the last 16 years.  Based loosely around the arcade game (also by Sega), ESWAT has you start off as a standard police officer armed with nothing more than his trusty pistol.  Taking out a few bad guys over the first two levels really does make you feel happy with yourself but you want more and more you will get.  From this point you are equipped with your cyber suit which is armed with loads of goodies such as flame thrower, laser blaster, rocket launcher and best of all, a jet pack.

The 6 levels are varied enough to keep the interest plus still looks pretty good even now thanks to the arcade style that the game has.  ESWAT isn't too difficult to be honest thanks to the continues but if you learn to play without them you'll soon find yourself having to think your way through the stages rather than just bombing through them.
