What a classic this is. Some may say that Burning Force is a direct Space Harrier rip off and in away they’d be right but then again wrong. Burning Force may use the same in to the screen view as Space Harrier but that’s about all it borrows from it unlike some other games I could mention (Space Fantasy Zone-PCE and Animal Gakuen-FC). The game is based around our heroin who sets out to destroy the evil forces on her jet powered bike. The game is based on a sort of weekly schedule with each day being a new mission. Needless to say that there are quite a few missions in there.

Graphically the 3D effect on Burning Force is quite impressive with some really good rotation and scaling that would put Space Harrier 2 to shame. The music is also quite catchy in places so no disappointment there.

Over all this is quite a nice classic game that may not be everybody’s cup of tea but should still be checked out.
