The 3rd of the Thunder Force series and the second for the Mega Drive.  This was actually my first encounter with Technosoft and to be honest the first ever shooter that I fell in love with back in 1990 when I was only 15 years old (now 30).  Thunder Force III has it all or at least did until Thunder Force IV came out.  Wonderful Technosoft cyber rock music, wonderful graphics (looks and sounds much better than the SFC version by Toshiba) and fantastic playability.  If you've never checked Thunder Force III out I suggest that you do.  You won't be disappointed and for it's time it was years ahead.  It just pissed me off that British game mags would rate Hell Fire or Tatsujin (Truxton) higher than this just because they were Toaplan games.
