One of the early Mega Drive cult classics to come out of Japan.  Based on the anime of the same name, 16 year old Yohko must travel through the mystic worlds slaying demons with her sword in order to get back the magic ring.  Graphically Mamono Hunter Yohko is a bit hit and miss.  Some levels do look quite nice while others are average and even a few that look bloody awful !  Still, it’s playability that counts, right?  Well, in this game it can be quite a challenge thanks to the “floating” style of Yohko’s jumps.  Once you get the hang of that however it does turn out to be a very good action platformer.  This is no where near as polished as Alisa Dragoon but does play better than the Valis games in my opinion.  Well worth checking out if you can find a copy.  By the way, the first Mamono Hunter Yohko anime is one that falls in to the hentai category.  Full on sex scenes in that but nothing in the game.
