Classic platforming action better known as Mystic Defender in the west.  The the game is very similar to a Japanese Master System / Mark III game that you can see it right here at Segagaga Domain.

The game certainly has a cult status which as you can guess, means that it's not a top class game.  That's not to say it's a bad game mind you.  Graphics for the time are very good as is the audio but the main thing that lets the game down is the stiff control system is has.  Still, well worth checking out if you can find it cheap.
