Technosoft are well known for their Thunder Force series but not so well known for this hidden gem.  Elemental Master is an overhead shooter set in a mystical world.  Throughout the game you are able to pick up 5 different types of fire power each being based on an element such as fire, wind, water and so on.  A unique twist to the playability is that your character is always walking so really he is only able to shoot the way he's facing but at the hit of a button he is able to walk backwards allowing himself to shoot in the opposite direction.

As with all Technosoft games, Elemental Master has a wonderful cyber rock soundtrack that is truly memorable.  It was so good in fact that Technosoft released it on CD.  There is a total of 4 worlds to choose from at first but don't think that's your lot.  There is more to come.
