If you're an American fan of basket ball you may think that NBA Jam was one of the greatest games of the 90's and rightly so however would you bother buying it on the Mega CD if you already owned it on the Mega Drive? Well, this version has a few little extras such as CD audio, better speech samples and a few game play enhancements such as an updated player roster and instant memory back up rather than the annoying password system used in the Mega Drive version. So it looks like it may be worth getting this if you're a hard core fan or is t? Well, I wouldn't bother. You see, while the player roster is updated, most of the newer players are pretty useless and then we've got the awfully long loading times. I'm talking up to 20 seconds at a time here! So what we have here is another piss poor western effort of a Mega CD game. Like so many others it's basically the same as the cartridge version. And being an Acclaim release the packing is as cheap as hell. Black & White instructions on poor quality paper (like always with Acclaim) and just take a look at the disc! Most Mega CD discs have full colour print and those that don't still have some nice design on them. This disc from Acclaim looks like a Chinese pirate disc it's that bare.
