If there was one format of games that really did benefit from the age of 3D polygons it was the racing game.  Making a sprite based racer was never the easiest of things but that doesn't excuse this heap of crap.  Even with the Mega CD's 3D sprite rotation and scaling capabilities, Nichibutsu have decided to not bother with them and go back to the racing style of Atari 2600 days.  I shit you not, this game is so awful it makes you wonder if a high school kid programmed it for some class project.  Graphically it's appalling in every respect.  There's no sense of speed, no racing course apart from a tinny bit of tarmac.  No sense of distance and graphic glitches as you race.  F1 Circus really is a poor bit of software that you wouldn't even consider buying at 100 yen (less than a can of coke).

To see just how awful this game is, check out the video over in the Mega CD section of the Movie Vault.
