I don't know if this game ever took off out side Japan.  Think of a Beat Mania that looks like it's for kids and then you have Pop'n Music.  Don't let the looks deceive you though, this is one tuff game.  The Dreamcast version of Pop'n Music 2 features ALL the music from the 1st game plus a whole stack of new tunes (The best I think).  Pop'n Music 2 is also needed to play the Follow ups of 3 and 4 since they are add on discs that need Version 2's game engine to run.

If you have a VMU spare you may want to download the VMU version of Pop'n Music from this game (^v^)  I also recommend getting yourself the Pop'n Music button board otherwise you'll have a hard time completing this.
