A Japanese adventure mixed with action plus on-line teams? Surly not, not from KID. Well, yes it's true.....almost. The online part is no longer possible but you can still have multiplayer games the old fashioned way by attaching more than one controller to the Dreamcast. Treasure Strike is basically a everyman for himself action game. The idea is that you find all the keys to open all the chests within the area before the opposing players do. The fun part is that you can actually steal other players items by beating the crap out of them. So it's always a good idea to drop off any items you manage to collect in the storage area before someone knocks you on the head and makes off with your treasure. Graphics are ok but nothing fantastic to be honest. They do the job mind you. Audio is pretty much the norm as well. Now to the problem that may worry many western players. Treasure Strike does contain an awful lot of Japanese text that tells the story of the game. There are also quite a few questions you will be asked so selecting the correct answer can be quite important at times. If you are the type of person that doesn't mind a bit of trial and error, then by all means check out Treasure Strike but if you're not, then it's probably best to not bother. |
