I read an awful lot of reviews for this game saying that it was the bees knees.  All I can say is that's a load of crap.  Re-Volt does look stunning in many areas plus runs at a sold 60fps but what good is all that beauty when you have something that's hell to control?  You see, the problem with Re-Volt is that even just the slightest twitch on the analogue stick will send your car spinning off course.  There's just no gradient in the controls.  Using the D-pad is a better option but even then you are still going to find yourself spinning off course.  Another problem with this game is the AI.  With the amount of weapons available to throw at each other the game just becomes a game of luck rather than skill.  I mean you could be playing like a God in first place only to be bombarded by projectiles from nowhere.  This really did annoy me.  As a multiplayer game things aren't as bad when it comes to AI but you still have to put up with that dodgy control system.

If you must have a radio controlled car racer then by all means get Re-Volt but don't say I didn't warn you.  Oh, by the way, the Japanese version of this is quite hard to come by so if you do spot it, buy it just for the sake of it (^-^)
