At first Perpetual Blue just looks like any other Japanese adventure / simulation game. It has the nice anime intro and loads of pretty pictures accompanied by pages of Japanese text. However Perpetual Blue also features some pretty nice 3D battles as well as exploring 3D areas which really does make a change from the normal style of selecting a place from a list. Of course the game is playable without knowing Japanese but to be honest there won’t be much point to playing it since the main point of this type of game is the story.

This Special edition that I have comes in a　card case that I’m guessing should come with some sort of extra item. I’m not sure what that extra is since it’s missing from my copy plus it doesn’t mention anything on the box which is quite unusual.
