Ecole are back with Death Crimson 2, their follow up to their bloody God awful Saturn gun game of the same name. The Saturn game looked bloody awful but it looks as if Ecole have pulled out all their most talented skills with this Dreamcast game. The actual character models are quite impressive with well defined textures and good models. The actual playing areas also look quite nice. The animation is still a bit ropy in places as are the camera angles and audio editing, but wefll let them off with that since Death Crimson 2 is a million times better than Death Crimson on the Saturn.

Game wise Death Crimson 2 is a bit dull. The story mode is going to bore none Japanese speakers to tears since therefs more story than actual game. The arcade mode is a bit better but still a bit dull. The problem is that many times it easy to predict where the bad guys or monsters are going to come from. Not only that but they also appear from the same positions many times over and over again. Also some enemies are incredibly hard to hit making the game very frustrating.

If you really want to play Death Crimson then go for Death Crimson OX. This is basically the same game with many things tidied up.
