An excellent Dreamcast shooter and maybe one of the last to be released but who knows.  We all thought that Ikuraga would have been the last Dreamcast action game but there have been quite a few since then.  Border Down was released in Japan on the 25th September 2003.  Sega Direct also did a very nice set which included a Border Down mouse mat and Border Down OST plus Case.

Border Down is a breath of fresh air to the side scrolling shooters group.  The game takes place as three battle ships  (ANTARES R1, G2 and A0) take position to battle it through the levels, each starting in a different position but finishing in the same.  So of course you start of as one of the ships but if you're shot down you may continue the mission as one of the remaining ships.  I really wasn't too keen on this idea at first but after playing Border Down for quite a while it's started to grow on me and I personally thing that it's quite a good idea.

Border Down not only has great game play and graphics but also a really cool OST which was given away in a special Sega Direct set.  Pictured below is the OST CD.

Also in the Sega Direct pack that I mentioned before was a cool Border Down mouse mat.
